PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid level detector wherein metals are hard to adhere to a magnetic body and fluctuations in a magnetic reluctance value are reduced. SOLUTION: The liquid level detector is equipped with a float 5 moving accompanied by fluctuations of a liquid level 4, a magnetic body 9 cooperating with the movement of the float 5, a detection element 10 for detecting magnetic flux density accompanied by fluctuations of the magnetic body 9, a main body frame 8 housing the detection element 10 and a non-magnetic cover 13 covering the magnetic body 9.
