PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetically sealed rotary compressor capable of suppressing reduction of a lubricating oil amount in a good condition while preventing simple cost up regardless of an attaching position relation of a conventional existing muffler. SOLUTION: A discharging muffler 11 covers a gas vent hole 10 in such a manner than an opening on shaft 3 outer circumference surface side of the gas vent hole 10 is opened in an inside space of the discharging muffler 11 to prevent lubricating oil mixed with refrigerant gas injected from the gas vent hole 10 from directly injecting in a sealed container 8 for suppressing lubricating oil's flowing out toward the outside of the sealed container 8.
