PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy-saving type adhesive for a corrugated carton which can stick stably to any weighing and brand paper and does not contain borax affecting physical properties of the adhesive, and to provide a method for manufacturing the corrugated carton using the adhesive. SOLUTION: An adhesive for a corrugated carton comprises a paste liquid obtained from addition of an alkali into a dispersant wherein a low molecular weight starch and a silicate-containing substance are dispersed in water.
