PURPOSE:To obtain a wire blank of large reduction of area that does not cause breaking in high-speed drawing by filling a flux mixed with synthetic mica that does not contain source in manufacture of a wire blank containing flux. CONSTITUTION:In drawing a wire blank containing flux, a flux is prepared by adding 0.01-2.0% in wire wt% of mica that does not contain source of hydrogen. This flux is filled in the shell material, and this is used as a wire material. The synthetic mica is an artificial mica having similar composition with natural mica and substantially free from hydrogen source. The synthetic mica includes fluorphlogopite, fluortetrasilicon mica, teniolite, etc. By this, breaking in high-speed drawing of very small diameter wire can be prevented, and drawing speed can be increased. |
