PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To freely change a direction of transmission of an optical signal of a remote control switch held by a holder. SOLUTION: This invention provides a switch 1 that remotely controls an electric apparatus 6 placed in the inside of a house. The switch 1 has the holder 3 that is fitted on a wall face 2 in the inside of the house, a remote control switch 4 that is removably held by the holder 3 and transmits an optical signal S to remotely control the electric apparatus 6, and a direction change device 5 that changes the direction of the optical signal S sent by the remote control switch 4 held by the holder 3.
