A coin release mechanism for a vending machine comprises a collection bin 26 for coins, which is provided at its upper end with a stop cleat 32 for a manually actuated blocking element 20. A bottom catch 31 at the bin is placed so that, when the bin is full, the last coin 34 introduced misses the stop cleat and deflects the blocking element past it. The release mechanism further contains a holder 21, which can swivel about an axle 23 perpendicular to the plane of the collection bin 26 and carries a moveable rod 22. The holder is an elastic element 25 loaded against a position where the rod 22 is directed at the stop cleat 32 when the bin is empty. <IMAGE> |
