PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting structure for a rod-shaped building material for firmly supporting the rod-shaped building material to a mullion and concealing a supporting material substantially completely for a good-appearance. SOLUTION: On both faces of the mullion 3, projection parts are formed by previously fixing supporting blocks 15 fixed by means of a bolt 16 and a nut 17. Into a through hole 2 in the rod-shaped building material 1, a rod 4 having a holding metal fitting 5 is inserted. Inside the holding metal fitting 5, an engagement body 6 is inserted via a coil spring 7 and a stopping belt 10 is mounted. While the engagement body 6 is pushed into the holding metal fitting 5 on each end side of the rod-shaped building material 1, the rod-shaped building material 1 is arranged between the mullions 3. The engagement body 6 is fitted in the supporting block 15 through its opening part 13 to be fixed by means of a bolt 20.
