PURPOSE:To improve the quality of printing and ameliorate an operation capability by mounting a printing charge signal generating means deciding the difference of effective ink drops flying most adjacently to a gutter for recovering unnecessary ink and initial unnecessary ink drops within a specified range. CONSTITUTION:Initial ink drops Po injected toward recording paper 7 by means of an ink gun are provided with initial charges until flying courses are made stationary, and a gutter 5 for recovering ink drops is arranged to the flying courses of said ink drops Po up to the recording paper 7 from deflection plates 4 by the supply of the initial charges. The gutter normally tavels in the X direction at the same time as the ink gun, collects the ink drops Po colliding near a tip of a gutter edge 51 parallel with a platen 8 in an ink reservoir 52 and recovers them in an ink vessel 6. The initial ink drops Po colliding with the gutter grow at the effective ink drop side from a gutter wall 51, and an obstruction of the ink drops of an effective course can be eliminated. |
