PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for repeatedly playing an optical magnetic recording and playing device are provided to repeatedly hear a section divided by a non-sound signal by detecting the non-sound signal according to input of a repetitive reproducing signal. CONSTITUTION: A non-sound detector(11) detects a non-sound part from a regenerative signal. A memory(4) memorizes an address corresponding to the non-sound part detected by the non-sound detector. In the case of receiving a repetitive reproducing command, a microcomputer(10) controls to repeatedly play data from non-sound information corresponding to an address most adjacent to the current position to the current position information.
