Device for the lateral alignment of automatically fed sheets in printing machines, in particular high-speed offset machines, in which the sheet is pressed by a dabbing roller (3) or segment, pivotably arranged on a fixed pull guide housing, on to a slide plate (8) acting as a pulling shoe and moved to and fro in said housing, and can be drawn by said plate (8) towards the stop (28) of the side guide (1), characterized in that the slide plate (8) comprises suction apertures (30), via which suction air can be supplied, whose time of supply is synchronized with the pulling movement of the slide plate (8) and the pivot movement of the dabbing roller (3), and whose duration is adjustable in that the suction air can be switched on when the dabbing roller (3) lowers to a sheet to be aligned and is either switched off or the dabbing roller (3) is lifted away when the lateral acceleration of the sheet is complete and before the stop (28) has been reached. |
