PURPOSE:To move an activating piece consisting of a magnetic adjusting material by the change of the permeability of the material and action with a magnetic field by a method wherein the activating piece is disposed into field space formed by magnetic poles, and one section of the activating piece is heated by means of a heater. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic poles 1a, 1b are made up to the nose sections of a U- shaped permanent magnet 1, and an activating piece 2 consisting of a magnetic adjusting material in thermal ferrite, etc. having a property of which permeability suddenly decreases when temperature reaches the Curie point or higher is arranged into the magnetic field as a long laminar body. Locations being close to the magnetic poles 1a, 1b of the activating piece 2 are heated by means of a heater 4. Thus, since the permeability of the heated locations of the activating piece 2 suddenly decreases partially and deviation is generated in the distribution of magnetic flux, and the activating piece 2 is moved until the deviation balances, the action is continued successively, and the activating piece 2 can smoothly be moved continuously in the axial direction. |
