<p>PURPOSE:To provide a resin of uniform temperature and uniform composition by installing a rotary member provided over the outer surface thereof with U-shaped protrusions within a barrel capable of being cooled or heated and by providing a large through hole for each U-shaped protrusion. CONSTITUTION:A rotry member 1 is disposed within a barrel 2 having a resin inlet 4 and a resin outlet 5. U-shaped protrusions 3 are formed over the outer surface of the rotary member 1. The rotary member 1 is heated or cooled by means of a heating medium or a cooling medium, respectively, supplied to the rotary member around a pipe 6 and discharged through the pipe 6. The rotary member is turned in a direction shown by an arrow 10. While the rotary member 1 is turned, a resin is supplied to the barrel 2 from the resin inlet 4 and is advanced toward the resin outlet 5 while the resin is mixed sufficiently by the rotation of the rotary member 1 and is heated or cooled to a desired temperature by heating or cooling respectively through the rotary member 1 or the barrel 2, whereby a resin of homogeneous quality is obtained.</p> |
