PURPOSE:To obtain a flexible electrophotographic receptor with superior sensitivity in a shorter wavelength region as well as a longer wavelength region by adding a specified disazo compound as a charge carrier generating substance or a photoconductive substance to the photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:To a photosensitive layer is added a disazo compound as a photoconductive substance or a charge carrier generating substance represented by formula I (where X is an aromatic ring such as benzene or naphthalene, a heterocyclic ring such as indole or carbazole or their substitution product, Ar1 is an aromatic ring such as benzene or naphthalene, a heterocyclic ring such as dibenzofuran or their substitution product, each of Ar2 and Ar3 is an aromatic ring such as benzene or naphthalene or its substitution product, each of R1 and R3 is H, 1-4C alkyl, phenyl or their substitution product, and R2 is lower alkyl, COOH or its ester). Thus, a receptor with high sensitivity in a shorter wavelength region as well as the visible light region is obtd. |
