<p>The economiser has a fan (2) connected to the smoke inlet pipe in the horizontal distributor. The distributor consists of a collector (3) which has horizontal openings (4) in the lower part. The distributor is placed inside a bin (5) filled with water, above the level of the openings. The heat exchanger (6) is submerged horizontally below the liquid. The exchanger allows the free passage of cooling water between the tubes, and the horizontal grille (7). The slanting pipe (8) is mounted over the exchanger. The scrubbed smoke is exhausted through the hood (17).</p> |
