<p>The tiles are moulded in a die provided with a punch or pressure pad. A continuous strip provided with a negative of the relief pattern is fed stepwise over the punch or pad, so the strip forms the working surface of the punch, and a different part of the strip is used for each tile. The tiles are then baked. The strip is pref. made of metal, polymer, paper or cloth, and is pref. moved in steps which are shorter than the length of the die. The pref. tile mfg. plant consists of a press using a reciprocating pad to form one punch. A continuous strip with a negative relief pattern is located between the pad and the die. Variable patterns can be obtd. on the tiles.</p> |
