摘要 <p>The feed device for stacked wire cages (6a) for holding corks in the necks of champagne bottles, is positioned under the open bottom of a tube enclosing the stack. The bottom loop of the lowermost cage is supported by the edges of two plates (2,3) with a wide gap between them, and carried in them by side guides (11). Above these two plates, which act as sliders, is another plate (4) also acting as a slider, shaped to allow the bottom cage to fall through its central opening. This slider has two sides (4b) with a gap between them smaller than the cage, followed by a wider gap between two extensions (4a) of the sides. When the cage rests on the first two plates, the slider is moved inwards so that the cage travels over bevelled edges (4c) between the two portions of its sides, so as to support the cage. When retracted, after the two sliding plates (2,3) have been moved away from the tube, the bottom cage is discharged.</p>
