The handler for loads such as containers is vehicle mounted. There are two pivoted lifting arms (4) for handling around one or two horizontal axes (H1) on either chassis side. The lower arm part is pivoted on this axle (H1). There is a third horizontal axis (15), parallel to the others and two fixed parallel vertical supports (2) separated by the width of the load (1) with upper thrust faces (3). On each support is an arm and a lever (5), horizontally pivoted, each with a ram (6) to pivot the assembly to the chosen side.
