The invention relates to an arrangement for measuring physical quantities, for example motions which can be displayed by a pressure signal, by means of a mode analyser and/or a mode filter for analysing or filtering out modes in light pipes(guides). The physical quantity influences the composition of modes in one or more light pipes. The invention is characterised in that there is applied to the light pipe (1) at least one pattern (3) which effects a varying reflecting or absorbing capability and/or polarising capability at one or more boundary surfaces of the light pipe. <IMAGE> |
