Winding process starting method - used for textiles or plastics foils, utilising one friction roller on which winding roller is located

The method of starting the winding process on a machine, for track-shaped material such as textiles, plastic foils, wall papers etc. utilises at least one friction roller on which a winding roller carrying the winding is located. An empty carrying roller which later forms the core of the winding spool is placed in position and an initial section of the material track is connected to the carrying roller, with the process consisting of the following main stages. The initial section of the material track is turned over the empty carrying roller (11), and subsequently this initial section is pressed with the aid of a relatively thin pressure ledge (26) into the slot between friction roller (2) and the empty roller over at least a part of the length of the latter. The empty roller is then moved along the cover surface of the friction roller (2) resulting in the tucking of the rod shaped pressure ledge (26). The pressure ledge is then drawn out of the fold formed and finally the friction roller is started.
