PURPOSE:To provide appropriate sublimation properties, favorable color forming properties and excellent preservation stability, by using a coloring matter constituted of a specified compound as a magenta coloring matter. CONSTITUTION:A magenta coloring matter is a coloring matter constituted of a compound of the formula, wherein each of R1 and R2 is independently H, a substd. or unsubstd. alkyl, alkenyl, aralkyl or cycloalkyl, with proviso that R1 and R2 may form a heterocyclic ring with N. In the formula, the substd. or unsubstd. alkyl may be, for example, methyl or ethyl, whereas the aralkyl may be, for example, benzyl, phenetyl or phenylpropyl, and the cycloalkyl may be cyclopentyl, cyclohexyl or the like which has 3-6 carbon atoms. The substd. alkyl may be methoxyl, methoxypropyl or the like. A coloring matter-containing ink, generally compring the sublimable coloring matter according to this invention and a binder, is prepared by dissolving or pulverizing the constituents in a solvent, and is applied to a base for transfer, thereby producing a sublimation transfer material. The sublimation transfer material thus produced has appropriate sublimation properties, favorable color forming properties and excellent preservation stability of recorded images. |
