<p>Drawn multifilament synthetic yarns are taken individually from their spools, as warps to be wound on a warping beam. All the warp yarns are subjected to a common draw tension before winding or during warping, to give them a final cold-drawn final structure. The final cold drawing imposes a 30 - 40% stretch, which can be effected in two or more phases, using the actual winding on the warp beam as the final stretching phase. There is a common yarn drive with at least two rollers for all the warps drawn from the creel. The yarn drive has a significantly slower speed than the following drive unit for all warps. A number of drive units can be in the warp yarns' path, with an increasing speed rate in successive units, with the warping stage giving the highest speed in the chain. The process reduces fabric costs, as quickly-spun filaments can be used with little prepn. as the warp yarns.</p> |
