Informative or warning signs, or other traffic devices such as barriers or lights, are mounted on a post with a solid metal core extending over almost its whole length. The core is surrounded by a sheath of elastic rubber type material. The core is pref. a length of bar steel, of roughly circular cross-section, and pref. with protrusions or depressions in the peripheral line on the outside, and/or longitudinally and/or helically. The sheath can be of the same size and shape as normal holder tubes. A foot for post accommodation in an upright, can be formed on the sheath. |
