Textile layer filled airborne noise insulating screen - has airtight coating on layer facing noise, made of thermoplastic material

Two elastic layers of textile are interconnected via elastic tension anchors, to form an intervening space filled with trickling material, in provision for insulation from airborne noise. The area weight of the unit amounts to at least 7 kg/m2. The textile layer facing away from the noise source, is provided with an airtight coating. This layer may be airborne-noise- absorbent, or have an airborne-noise-absorbent coating, and can be made of synthetic thermoplastic material. The whole unit may be 1 - 4 cm. thick, and 1 - 4 m high. An absorbent configuration may be mounted 1 - 10 cm. in front of the noise-facing layer. Glass or metal fibre, or polyester, polyamide or polyacrylnitryl fibre are suitable materials.
