PURPOSE:To display a tape position stably all the time by storing tape-position measurement data by comparing its periodically measured value with a stored value. CONSTITUTION:The rotations of reels 2 and 3 wound with tape 4 are detected 7 and 8 and on the basis of the detection outputs, the running position of the tape is measured. The running-position measurement data is stored in register 14 corresponding to latch pulses. According to storage contents, the tape position is displayed 17. In this case, the tape-position measurement data is compared 13 with the output data of register 14 and when the both do not coincide mutually, a difference signal is outputted and retained in FF24 until the next tape position measurement. Then, while the held signal is in FF24, a latch pulse for the next tape-position measured value is sent to register 14, wherein the measurement data is stored. |
