PURPOSE:To perform recording and reproducing at high density by consisting of a magnetic recording medium and a magnetic head performing recording and reproducing of signals by opposing thereto and so forming the magnetic recording medium as to have >=1,000 oersted coercive force. CONSTITUTION:This consists of a magnetic recording medium and a magnetic head performing recording and reproducing of signals by opposing to this. The magnetic recording medium is so made as to have >=1,000 oersted coercive force and the magnetic head is made of a ''Sendust '' alloy and is provided with <=60mum track width thereof. The ordinate in the figure shows the ratios of the reproduction output voltage of a metal tape and the reproduction output voltage of a video tape, and the abscissa shows frequencies. Diagrams A, B are the results of an Mn-Zn ferrite single crystal material, and diagrams C, D are in the case of the magnetic head using a ''Sendust '' alloy (saturated magnetic density is 8,000 gauss) and of 60, 15mum track widths respectively, wherein the improvement of the reproduction output ratios by 5-12dB is admitted in the 0.5-9MHz region. |
