PURPOSE:A dermatological composition used as a skin beautifier is produced using an alkanolamine salt of tropolone, thus showing activity against freckles and berloque dermatitis, because it blocks tyrosinase activity and prohibits the formation of melanine. CONSTITUTION:The dermatological composition contains 0.01-10wt%, preferably 0.05-5wt% of at least one of alkanolamine salts of tropolone obtained from tropolone and alkanolamines. These salts include lipophilic groups (from tropolone) and hydrophilic groups (from aminoacids) in the molecule to solubilize a large amount of tropolone that is hard soluble in water. Further, even in form of salts, they do not lose characteristics of various kinds and physiological activities and are included in the dermatological composition readily and surely. |
