PURPOSE:To enable the transmission at lower transmission rate, by making different the number of bits per one channel on the remaining two channels and the original two channels among 4 channels, in the 4-channel PCM recording and playback device. CONSTITUTION:The 4-channels signals A, C are respectively in sample-holding at the sample hold circuits 1, 3, and the differences (B-A), (D-C) of channel signals A, B, C, D are taken at the difference detection circuits 10, 11, and sample-holding is made at the sample hold circuits 2, 4, for A/D conversion. After serial data is obtained at the parallel-series conversion circuit 5, the error correction code is added through the error correction circuit 6, the interleaving is made at the memory device 7, and the inspection bit is added at the inspection bit generating circuit 8. After that, the code conversion is made at the code conversion circuit 9 and output is made to the disc shape medium. |
