PURPOSE:To easily obtain a recording media permitting high output and high density record by consisting Fe as a principal component for the components of a thin sheet when an alloy thin board of 1mm. thick or less is formed wherein the predetermined amounts of Co and V and/or Cr are contained. CONSTITUTION:Fe, Co, and V and/or Cr are contained as an essential component in the components composing a magnetic recording media and the contents of Co and V and/or Cr in the components are fixed to 50-60% and 8-15% by weight respectively and the remaining part as Fe. And the media is made as the plate- shaped substance of gamma-alpha transformed magnetic constitution to disperse and deposite gamma phase in alpha phase. After applying hot working to the plate-shaped substance, a solution process is done to make an alloy thin sheet of 1mm. thick or less. Cold working is applied to the alloy thin sheet to transform the sheet which is almost gamma phase into alpha phase. And the board of 1mm. thick or less is made as the magnetic recording media suitable for high output and high density recording to form a magnetic tape having less variation in quality. |
