<p>Compounds are provided having the structure <CHEM> wherein R<1> and R<2> may be the same or different and are hydrogen, lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, or hydroxy-lower alkyl, or R<1> and R<2>together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached also form a heterocyclic radical which may contain another heteroatom, namely nitrogen, oxygen or sulfur; R<3> and R<4> may be the same or different and are hydrogen or lower alkyl. These compounds are useful in the treatment of arrhythmia. In addition novel intermediates are provided having the structure <CHEM> wherein R is hydrogen, benzyl or <CHEM> These intermediates are also useful in treating acute myocardial infarction.</p> |
