Interior finishing process for automobile passenger compartment panels with polyurethane imitation leather separated from backing textile

In a process to create the impression of a leather interior lining to an automobile interior panel, a panel of imitation leather with a textile backing material is selected. The surface layer is separated from the textile backing. The surface layer is then applied and bonded to the rigid automobile panel, e.g. dashboard or door interior.
