PURPOSE:To check the microprogram surely, by checking the contents of the microprogram directly under the state where the microprogram is loaded, in the system where processing devices due to microprogram control are combined. CONSTITUTION:When a processing device to be checked is designated through operator console by the operator, service processing device 1 reads contents of the latest microprogram of this processing device from external memory device 6 into the main memory device of service processing device 1. Next, bus 4 is used to read contents of the microprogram, which is loaded into the processing device, into the main memory device of service processing device 1, and contents of both microprograms are compared with each other. If they coincide with each other, the control is transferred to the comparison operation for contents of the next address; and if they do not coincide, the address of uncoincidence, the expected value, and the received value are displayed through the display device of console 5. This operation is executed for all of contents of the microprogram. |
