A bilge valve which is mounted on the pipe line in the bilge of a vessel so as to discharge the waste water, the sludges or the like from the filge of a vessel, includes a valve housing(10) with an inlet & outlet, a valve disc(16) for allowing the sludges to pass through, a piston rod(25) extended in the housing, a cylinder(23) and a piston member(11). A spring(27) in the cylinder permits the valve disc to stay in a closed position by means of link member(33). When the pressure force of the sludges in the inlet(13) exceeds the spring force, the valve disc is opened to discharge the sludges.
