PURPOSE:To produce an inner shield having excellent magnetic shielding effect, by providing an inner shield where the second portion having high magnetic resistance which is continuously connected to the first portion having high magnetic resistance is made of the side between the end sections of the width at both long sides. CONSTITUTION:An inner magnetic shield 19 is comprised of the first sides 19a1- 19d1 fixed respectively to a shadow mask 7 and a mask frame 8, the second sides 19a2-19d2 where the first sections 201-204 having high magnetic resistance is provided at the sections of the side edge of said first funnel corresponding to the diagonal lines P, Q of the panel, and the third sides 19a3-19d3 provided at the side edge of said second sides while being bent in such a manner that the side edges 19a4-19d4 having different width 21, 22 are provided at both long sides and short sides of the panel to be departed from the funnel approximately in parallel to the first sides while the second sections 211-214 having high magnetic resistance continuously connected to the first sections 201-204 are provided between the side edges of both long sides along the side edges of both short sides. |
