HIGHLY DURABLE POLARIZATION PLATE AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

A high-durability polarizing plate and a liquid crystal display are provided to secure good display quality under high-humidity and high-temperature conditions and to protect a polarizing film from moisture under wet-heat conditions. A polarizer is composed of a first transparent protection film(2); a second transparent protection film(3); and a polarizing film(1) interposed between the first and second transparent protection films. The first transparent protection film has vapor permeability below 50g/m^2À24hr at a temperature of 40‹C and relative humidity below 90%, and has a moisture content below 2.0wt.%. The first transparent protection film has a treated surface(4) and an anti-reflecting layer on the opposite side of the polarizing film, and contains cellulose resin and triphenyl phosphate of 3~10wt.%.
