The arrangement has a rotor body containing a packet of plates with openings (12.12') for permanent magnets extending in spoke manner through the rotor body and flux control pieces (14) between adjacent openings, each forming a magnetic pole. Each plate is designed so that some of the openings are bridged at the outer ends by outer bridges (16) and the others are open at the outer end. The plates are stacked so that bridged ends coincide with open ends. An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing an inventive rotor arrangement.
