PURPOSE:To make the use of a copying machine convenient by inhibiting the mode change in which the manual mode changes over automatically to ordinary copying mode during execution of the former mode despite lapse of a fixed time after the end of the copying. CONSTITUTION:When a manually inserted sheet detector 34 detects a sheet, the timer operation of a timer circuit 62 is started and if the manually insertable signal is being emitted from a copying machine control circuit 51, a manual insertion gate solenoid driving circuit 63 is operated and a manual insertion gate 38 is opened by a solenoid 37. At the same time, a motor driving circuit 56 is operated to start a motor M. An inverter 64 inverts the output of the timer circuit 62 to set the output SIN at ''0'' durig the operation of the timer circuit 62. A timer circuit 53 id reset by this output. Hence, even if the circuit 53 starts timer operation by the timer start signal TS upon ending of the copying cycle, and if a manual insertion sheet is inserted, the timer 53 is reset during the execution of the manual insertion mode until this is completely housed to the pins 11 of the sorter and therefore the signal SA for automatically changing the mode is not outputted. |
