The invention relates to an improved high-temperature solar collector for heating a gas to a high temperature by means of concentrated solar radiation. The solar collector according to the invention has a container (10) with a cavity (10a), as well as a unit composed of cellular panels (14) which are used to line at least a portion of the inner surface of the cavity. Each cellular panel, which forms the exchange surface, bounds a gas duct between a multiplicity of cells (15a), which open into the cavity (10a). The gas circuit is fed by a multiplicity of distributors (18), which open into the gas ducts in compartments (15b) which are located between the cells (15a). <IMAGE>
