A heuristic device is used for trial operation of an auto control switch controlled by a prerecorded programme, and has a connection network matrix, a control computer for the matrix and one interface coupling the two. Light-emitting diodes indicate the state of the matrix points and an image memory for indicating information present at the outputs of the programme memory are provided. The image memory also indicates information at the outputs of microprogrammes, an arithmetic and logic unit, counter, stores diodes and logic gates of the control computer. Array of light emitting diodes- indicates information present at the outputs of decoders, store and logic gate of the interface.
