The invention relates to the field of ferrous metallurgy, in particular - to the method and flow control unit for energy carriers mediums in transportpipeline systems of producers and users of metallurgical complex. A method, at which determination, treatment, transmission of current, specific (per unit of the produced products), average hour, average daily, average monthly figure values of parameters of control expenditure, pressure, temperature of basic streams of liquid and gaseous energy carriers of metallurgical complex on the main computers of controllers' and single central control panels of registration, automatic calculation, archiving, printing of the indicated parameter values of mediums in the electronic form and transmission of the indicated values in the form of optimal parameters of mediums to the concrete producers and users for making by them operative and optimum management by the indicated flows of the mediums transport pipelines for supporting in them of minimum specific parameters of the indicated mediums is carried out. The device is made as flow-measuring, in the form of the barrier mounted into the pipeline, which is made in the form of the bar provided withfrontal and back sensory elements for determination of current and specific values of energy carriers mediums flows at concrete producers and users of metallurgical complex. The invention provides the operative (in the real-time mode) management by the energy carriers mediums flows of metallurgical complex with the substantial decline of their losses and rise of term of their use.
