<p>The appts. is applicable to the construction of foundations, and may be readily connected to recording instruments. The appts. has a constant flow screw pump which is supplied via a pipe with a fluid for viscosity measurement and which is pumped into a chamber with an inverted cone shape. A domed cover is fastened to the chamber by bolts and a flexible membrane separates the dome from the chamber to form a measuring chamber. The fluid flows from the chamber through a calibrated orifice and exerts a pressure on the measuring chamber to affect the height of a measuring liquid in a graduated glass tube connected through an orifice to the cover.</p> |
