The ball bearing (7) is intended for a motor vehicle wheel (4) and has a non-rotating outer bearing race (10), whilst the inner bearing race (6) forms part of the wheel drive. The inner race may be integral with the bell-shaped housing of the universal drive coupling (18), connecting the wheel to a half-shaft (19). The inner race may be provided with an axially inward projection which carries or drives the rotating brake disc.
