Drive shaft for model vehicles or railways - uses two hub-mounted, toothed end wheels on half shafts with elasticised sleeved centre coupling shaft

Drive coupling links coaches in a model railway or similar system. At each end of the shaft assembly (2,3,4,5) is a toothed drive wheel (1) which fits on the centre hub (3) of one half shaft unit (2). The centre shaft (4) between the two half shafts (2) is sleeved with an elasticised collar (5) so that it packs well into the end shafts (2) enabling the drive to be transmitted from one side wheel (1) to the second. The centre (G) of the shaft would be the centre travel axis of the system.
