The valve lever assembly is intended for the base or descant register of an accordion. It comprises a number of double-ended valve levers (5) each having a key (4) at one end and a valve disc (8,9) at the other to cover a port (10) in a filler plate (19) carrying the reed boxes (12). The levers are spring-loaded (21) and pivoted (7) to a plastics support element (6) which is integral with a flange (22) and may be integral with the plate (19). A loose coil spring (21) is located on a pin (24) and in a recess (23) between the key arm of each lever and the flange.
