PURPOSE:To perform record retrieval synchronizing with the speed of data transfer from a storage device, by performing optional logical operation between results of field-to-field comparisons between blocked records and comparison data. CONSTITUTION:A record read out of memory device 25 is inputted to comparing circuit 28 of controller 26. This circuit 28 compares a record under some condition, determined by condition register 27, with the contents of comparison data buffer 29, and then latches the comparison result in comparison result latch 13 at the timing of the output off field number register 12. The output of this latch 13 is inputted to logic circuits 17-19 and ORed with outputs of logical operation latches 14-16 for the other input. Outputs of circuits 17-19 are ANDed by circuits 20- 22, whose outputs are ORed 23 to latch the resulting output in operation result latch 24. |
