A retroreflector plate consists of a transparent slab with a reflecting rear composed of curved polygonal reflecting areas in a side-by-side arrangement. The front contains similar curved light entry faces, with the optical axis of each light entry face coinciding with that of each corresponding reflecting area. In a vertical parallel projection, the horizontal areas of light entry and light reflection have either a different surface area, or if it is the same, a different configuration. The result is a large range for the angle of reflection and a maximum of light yield.
|
