An angle measuring device 60, disposable on a first reference surface, includes a body 61 incorporating a scale 63I. A housing 10 is rotatably disposed on the body 61. A first laser diode is disposed within the housing 10 for emitting a first laser bean along a first path, and a first lens is disposed within the housing 10 in the first path to convert the first laser beam into a first planar beam. The first planar beam forms a first line on at least one of the first reference surface and the scale.
