PURPOSE:To prevent the abnormal rotation of an axial gap type motor by mounting a dust-seal type bearing having a large diameter on the outer periphery of a rotor, supporting the bearing on the outer periphery of a stator, thereby preventing the introduction of a foreign material into the air gap between the rotor and the stator. CONSTITUTION:An annular stator core 3 and a coil 4 are molded with plastic 5 to form a stator 1, and an annularly rising part 6 is integrally formed at the outer periphery of the stator. A dust-seal type bearing 7 is so disposed as to surround the air gap 11 on the inner periphery of the rising part 6, and a rotor 8 having a rotor core 10 is rotatably supported through the bearing 7. Thus, a foreign material may not enter into the air gap 11 to prevent beforehand the locking state, and since the diameter of the bearing 7 is large, the lifetime of the bearing can be extended. |
