The invention relates to the technology for manufacturing of electroelements in the radio electronics, measuring engineering, computer engineering etc. and may be used in manufacturing microcoils of fibre-optic threads, fibre-optic microwire etc. The process for spool-free coil manufacture from wire, for example, glass-insulated current-conducting microwire, consists in the microwire unwinding from the driven coil and winding thereof onto a preliminarily heated metal spool. As spool it is used a metal rod with the thermal coefficient of linear expansion greater than the thermal coefficient of linear expansion of the winding wire insulation. The rod-spool is heated with electric current passing through it.
