The switch diaphragm responding to pressure differences is made of electrically conductive material which is resilient. An adjustable contact element (6) is located opposite the diaphragm (4). The top part (2) contains, above the diaphragm, a cavity (9) subjected to the lower pressure, whilst the bottom part (10) contains a cavity (10) subjected to the higher pressure. An orifice (13) in the bottom part coincides with a corresponding orifice (14) in the top part which opens into the cavity in this. A bearing edge on the top part presses the diaphragm against the bottom part. The cavity in the bottom part can be a groove which extends peripherally beyond the bearing edge of the top part.
