<p>The heat conducting part (2) of the apparatus, is situated in a rotating housing (1), and has a heat conducting space (3) under its base, connected to the cooling body (8), by a tube (5). The cooling body (8), which is inside the fixed housing (10) serving as a heat exchanger, has a number of cooling fins, hollow in section, circular in shape and forming part of the interior space of the connecting tube (5). A sealing washer (7) around the connecting tube (5), separates and seals the fixed housing (10) containing the cooling body (8) from the rotating housing section (1). The heat conducting space (3), connecting tube (5) and the cooling body (8), form a cooling system, filled with a cooling medium (B), which condenses on the surface of the apparatus (2) and is fed to the cooling body (8), which in turn transfers the heat via a cooling medium (A) in the fixed housing section (10). The housing has an inlet and outlet connected to each other via a pump (12), which circulates the cooling medium. An essential advantage of this system is that only a simple shaft seal is required between the fixed and rotating housings (1,10).</p> |
